DOHA — Qatar’s Interior Ministry said Sunday that seven people reported missing after a helicopter crash in the country’s territorial waters have been found dead.In a statement, the ministry said search and rescue teams recovered the bodies of seven individuals who were on board the aircraft, confirming their deaths.Earlier, Qatar’s Defense Ministry said the helicopter had suffered a “technical malfunction” during a routine mission before crashing in regional waters, adding there was no indication of hostile action.The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Qatar having faced repeated drone and missile attacks in recent weeks, including strikes on the Ras Laffan Industrial City, one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas hubs.
