Saudia and flynas said they are reviewing required updates to their the A320 fleet after Airbus, and assessing any potential impact on flight schedules.

flynas stated that it received a directive from Airbus concerning its A320 aircraft and will carry out software and technical recalibration on part of its fleet. The process will increase turnaround times for a limited number of flights and lead to some schedule delays.

Both airlines said in separate statements that they will contact customers whose flights may require adjustments as a result of these updates.

According to Reuters, the technical and software recalibration involves fine-tuning and adjusting computer systems and programs that control specific components of the aircraft to ensure proper and safe operation.

The developments come after Airbus announced it had ordered immediate fixes for 6,000 widely used A320-family jets in a broad recall campaign.
