RIYADH — Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s minister of defense, discussed regional developments and recent Iranian attacks with Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid, Crown Prince of Dubai, deputy prime minister and minister of defense of the United Arab Emirates, during a phone call on Thursday.In a post on the social media platform X, Prince Khalid said the two sides strongly condemned the Iranian aggression targeting Saudi Arabia, the UAE and several neighboring countries in recent days.“We condemned the Iranian aggression against the Kingdom, the UAE and brotherly countries, and affirmed our full solidarity and readiness to place all capabilities at the disposal of any measures taken in response,” he wrote.According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the two officials denounced the attacks as a clear violation of international norms and the sovereignty and security of states, warning that such actions carry serious consequences for regional and international stability.Both sides also affirmed that Saudi Arabia and the UAE retain the right to take all necessary measures to protect their resources and ensure the safety of everyone living on their territories.The call comes amid heightened regional tensions following Iranian attacks targeting several Gulf countries.On Saturday, Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held a phone call with UAE president Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reaffirming the Kingdom’s full solidarity with the UAE.
