He noted the Kingdom’s comparative advantage offers a strong opportunity to expand into global markets, especially the United States.

The minister said the current environment encourages local investors to enhance existing capacity and build new industrial capabilities.

He added that it also motivates foreign investors to choose Saudi Arabia as a hub for developing their operations.

He said the industrial sector is well-positioned to benefit from these global changes but warned of dumping risks.

Some foreign products may target the Saudi market with underpriced goods, he noted, emphasizing the need to regulate and protect the local market.

Alkhorayef said ministry plans and the broader local content strategy are progressing as scheduled. He cautioned that accelerating implementation could raise production costs and stressed the commitment to maintaining localization without burdening the state budget.

The minister said Saudi Arabia is advancing steadily toward clear local content targets, despite global economic challenges and trade disruptions.

He added that coordinated efforts across sectors reflect sound economic direction. He said the Kingdom has recognized the importance of balancing local investment with global leadership, an approach already delivering results.

Alkhorayef said nearly 400 teams are working on local content initiatives across government entities. He also acknowledged the strong involvement of major state-owned companies in these efforts.

He pointed to a newly launched initiative offering standard-based incentives for industrial development. The program aims to support investors building new projects to manufacture targeted products locally.
