The Ministry of Tourism announced that the number of licensed tourist hospitality facilities reached 4,425 in 2024, marking an 89% growth compared to 2,300 licenses in 2023 across the Kingdom. 
The rise in licenses issued to tourist hospitality facilities reflects the ministry’s efforts to enable operators and investors in the hospitality sector to obtain the necessary ministry licenses for operation, the Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Ministry of Tourism spokesperson Mohammed Al Rasasimah.
This comes amid the significant boom witnessed by the Kingdom’s tourism sector and the increasing number of both international and local tourists.
Al Rasasimah said that these efforts fall under the framework of the “Our Guests Are a Priority” campaign, which aims to strengthen hospitality facilities’ adherence to licensing and classification standards and to ensure their compliance with the requirements set forth by the Tourism Law and its regulations.
