Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports increased 7% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 74.9 billion in August 2025, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Compared to July, 2025, merchandise imports were down 9%, or nearly SAR 7.5 billion.
Machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment and their parts topped imports in August, representing 30% or SAR 22.3 billion of the Kingdom’s total imports. Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment followed, with 14%.
