Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports increased 3% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 75.4 billion in September 2025, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

Compared to August 2025, merchandise imports were down 4%, or nearly SAR 3.4 billion.

Machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment and their parts thereof topped imports in September, representing 31% or SAR 23 billion of the Kingdom’s total imports. Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment followed at about 13%.

The top 10 exporters to Saudi Arabia accounted for almost 67%, or SAR 50.8 billion, of total imports in the same month.
