Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports increased 2% year-on-year (YoY) in June to SAR 70 billion, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Meanwhile, merchandise imports retreated 17% month-on-month (MoM), or nearly SAR 14 billion, compared to May.

Machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment, and parts thereof accounted for 31% of total imports in June. Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment came in second with 13%.
