Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports increased 13% year-on-year (YoY) in Q2 2025 to SAR 235.7 billion, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Meanwhile, merchandise imports retreated 4% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), or nearly SAR 9.3 billion.

­­Machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment, and parts thereof accounted for 29% of total imports in Q2 2025. Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment came in second with 13%.
