Muhannad Al-Essa, undersecretary for labor market policies at the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), said that Saudi Arabia’s labor market is experiencing growth across all professions.

Al-Essa pointed out, in an interview with Al-Sharq News on the sidelines of the 14th Social Dialogue Forum for a Promising and Balanced Labor Market, that the ministry is seeking to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the Saudi labor market.

The targeted professions for Saudization witnessed unprecedented growth in employment over the past period, the undersecretary noted, adding that this growth is reflected in the figures announced in the Labor Market Bulletin, which align with Vision 2030 and the labor market strategy.

According to data available on Argaam, unemployment rate among Saudis in Q2 2024 reached its lowest level since 1999, dropping to 7.1% compared to 7.6% in Q1 2024.
