RIYADH — The industrial production index in Saudi Arabia recorded an increase of 8.9 percent during the month of December 2025 compared to the same month in 2024. The increase was driven mainly by higher activity in mining and quarrying, manufacturing, water supply and sewerage, as well as waste management and remediation activities. According to the report, published by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) for the month of December 2025, the mining and quarrying sub-index posted a 13.2 percent annual increase. The sub-index of manufacturing activity rose by 3.2 percent, and the sub-index of water supply, sewerage and waste management and remediation activities increased by 9.4 percent.The results also showed that the oil activities index surged 10.1 percent year-on-year, while the non-oil activities index climbed by 5.8 percent.
