Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries increased by $14.4 million month-on-month (MoM) to $148.8 billion in November 2025, recent data released by the US Department of Treasury showed.

This monthly increase in Saudi Arabia’s investments in US Treasuries was the largest on record since data tracking began in 1974.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom advanced to the 17th place among the largest holders of US Treasuries for the month.

Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries included long-term bonds worth $106.8 billion, representing 72% of the total, as well as short-term bonds at $42 billion, accounting for 28%.

Japan was the top holder of US Treasuries by value in November, with $1.2 trillion, followed by the UK with $888.5 billion.
