Saudi Fisheries Co.(Asmak) signed on Feb. 3 a 12-month non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) withArabian Agricultural Services Co. (ARASCO)to explore potential collaboration on fish feed development, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

According to data available with Argaam, in October 2021, Saudi Fisheriessigned a non-binding MoU with ARASCO, with an aim to explore future cooperation regarding the manufacturing and commercial operation of the under-construction aquatic feed factoryfor seafood at Al-Huraydah in Aseer region.
The memorandum was extended twice for a period of three months from April 20, 2022, to July 19, 2022, and from July 20, 2022, to October 19, 2022.
Ultimately, the decision not to proceed with the project was announced in October 2022.
