The UAE accounted for the largest share of Saudi Arabia’s external trade during the month

Saudi Arabia’s non-oil trade surplus with the GCC countries reached nearly SAR 5.4 billion in September 2025, an increase of 108% year-on-year.

Total Saudi non-oil merchandise exports and re-exports to GCC countries rose to nearly SAR 12 billion in September, up 46% YoY, according to data released by the General Authority for Statistics.

Non-oil merchandise exports during the month were distributed between re-exports amounting to about SAR 8.97 billion and national exports totaling SAR 3.01 billion.

On the other hand, Saudi merchandise imports from GCC countries reached around SAR 6.59 billion during September, rising by 17% compared to the same period in 2024.

The UAE accounted for the largest share of Saudi Arabia’s external trade, with the Kingdom recording a non-oil trade surplus with the UAE of about SAR 5.43 billion.
