Saudi Arabia’s exports of chemical industry and related products inched up 0.4% year-on-year (YoY) to nearly SAR 7.1 billion in May 2025.

Compared to April 2025, the chemicals exports decreased by SAR 839 billion, or 13%.

Chemicals and related products made up 23% of May’s SAR 31.1 billion in non-oil exports.

India topped the list of chemicals importers from Saudi Arabia at nearly SAR 1.55 billion, accounting for 22% of the total exports of chemical products in May. It was followed by China with 12% and the UAE with 6%, as shown in the table below:

Saudi Arabia’s imports of chemical industry and related products reached SAR 7.6 billion in May, up 9% YoY.

Chemical imports accounted for 9% of the total imports of SAR 80.9 billion,as shown in the following table:
