The Russian government said on Wednesday that Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman discussed possible joint projects in the spheres of liquified natural gas (LNG), hydro- and nuclear energy, Reuters reported.

Novak told the Saudi energy minister at a meeting in Moscow that collective action within OPEC+ is in both countries’ long-term national interests and contributes to strengthening their economies, the statement said.

According to data available with Argaam, the eight OPEC+ countries— including Saudi Arabia and Russia —approved the implementation of a production adjustment of 137,000 barrels per day (bpd) from the 1.65 million bpd additional voluntary cuts announced in April 2023. This adjustment will be implemented in November 2025.
