Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has launched the Factories of the Future Program, which aims to help over 4,000 factories adopt advanced technologies. This will be implemented by offering facilitated loans for equipment purchases, in addition to providing specialized training programs for national talents, Minister Bandar Alkhorayef told Argaam.
The partnership with the Human Capability Development Program helped establish a mutual integration base, with the goal of enhancing the efficiency of national talents and meeting the workforce demand in the industrial and mining sectors, added Alkhorayef on the sidelines of the Human Capability Initiative Conference.
The industrial and mining sectors have the advantage of early job forecasting, given that establishing factories or mines typically takes three to five years, allowing room for proactive planning and training of national competencies.
The Ministry is working with companies such as Ceer, Lucid, and Hyundai to implement training programs aimed at preparing Saudi talents before the actual launch of operations, which may take two to three years.
