The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture approved extending the deadline for obtaining licenses to use groundwater sources (wells) for one year.

However, this extension does not apply to the usage of licenses for local agricultural companies and large-scale farmers licensed to cultivate wheat.

This is in addition to the activities overseen by the Saudi Water Authority and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, which include potable and non-potable water stations and bottled water factories.
