RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Sunday strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to convert lands in the West Bank into what it described as “state property” affiliated with the occupation authorities. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move was part of plans aimed at imposing a new legal and administrative reality in the occupied West Bank. It added that the decision undermines ongoing efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region. The ministry reaffirmed that there is no Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories and expressed the Kingdom’s absolute rejection of what it described as illegal measures. It stressed that Israel’s actions constitute a grave violation of international law, undermine the two-state solution, and represent an assault on the Palestinian people’s inherent right to establish an independent and sovereign state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
