Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha said that Saudi Arabia has attracted US investments exceeding $13 billion in the years 2024 and 2025.
These investments represent more than 90% of total international investments in artificial intelligence, data centers, cloud services, and the development of national digital capabilities in partnership with major tech companies such as AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Oracle, Groq, and others, he added, in a statement to state-run news agency SPA.
The minister also highlighted that Saudi Arabia is not only investing in technology, but also in people, stating that these partnerships with US companies like Apple, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft play a key role in building the largest digital talent pool in the region, with over 381,000 digital professionals.
Additionally, the Saudi-American partnership in the field of innovation has led to pioneering projects in artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and clean energy. This has been achieved through the establishment of 14 centers of excellence in cooperation with leading U.S. universities such as MIT, Stanford, Caltech, and IBM, thereby reinforcing the Kingdom’s ability to produce knowledge and accelerate innovation, according to Alswaha.
