Saudi Gazette reportRIYADH — The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates announced their countries’ collective decision to join United States President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace. In a statement, the foreign ministers welcomed the invitation extended to their leaders by Trump to join the board.Each country will sign the joining documents in accordance with their relevant legal and other necessary procedures. This includes Egypt, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates, which had already announced their joining of the board. The ministers reaffirmed their countries’ support for the peace efforts led by President Trump. They also stressed their countries’ commitment to supporting the implementation of the Peace Board’s mission as a transitional body, as outlined inthe Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict and endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803. These aimed at consolidating a permanent ceasefire, supporting the reconstruction of Gaza, and advancing a just and lasting peace based on the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood in accordance with international law, thereby paving the way for establishing security and stability for all countries and peoples of the region.
