The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced enabling individuals to import personal vehicles through its land and sea customs ports, so that the individual importer can submit the necessary documents and complete the vehicle import procedures directly through the Authority’s website. 
To submit a request to import personal vehicles by individuals, the importer must first register on the Authority’s website and then choose the vehicle import service and create a new request, by filling in the vehicle information and customs declaration, uploading the required documents, and then submitting the request, ZATCA said, in a statement.
The Authority also indicated that this service is optional and not mandatory.
Further, ZATCA provides a detailed user guide for the service, through its website, which includes an explanation of the service and the steps for submitting requests to import personal vehicles for individuals, as well as detailed information that will help make the best use of the service.
