RIYADH — Saudi air defenses intercepted six ballistic missiles and 26 drones over Riyadh and the Eastern Province on Friday, according to Ministry of Defense spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki.Al-Malki said 13 drones were intercepted and destroyed in each of the two regions.Debris from interceptions fell near a military site in Riyadh without causing any injuries.He added that six ballistic missiles were launched toward Riyadh.Two were intercepted, while the remaining four fell into the Arabian Gulf and uninhabited areas.On Thursday, Saudi air defenses destroyed 38 drones in the Eastern Province, Al-Malki said.
