RIYADH — Saudi air defenses intercepted 5 ballistic Missiles over the Eastern Province and 4 drones between Tuesday and Wednesday, the Ministry of Defense said. The Ministry’s Spokesman, Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said four drones were intercepted and destroyed late evening on Tuesday. In the early hours of Wedneaday morning —just a few hours before US President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire with Iran— the spokesman reported that five ballistic missiles en route to the Eastern Province were destroyed by the Saudi air defenses.
