Out of 169 goods and services distributed across 10 groups, the prices of 82 goods and services in Saudi Arabia declined year-on-year (YoY) in September, while prices of 80 commodities increased and seven other commodities remained unchanged, data issued by the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.

African medium lemon was the highest gainer in September, up 15.29% YoY, followed by Luqmati coffee beans with a 14.31% YoY hike.

Meanwhile, local medium potatoes were the biggest decliner, dropping by 20.04% YoY, followed by imported round onions, which dropped by 16.26% YoY.

Elsewhere, prices of 14 housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels category rose YoY in September, while 21 others decreased.

Prices of four recreation, sports, and culture items increased, while one item declined YoY

In the clothing category, prices of six items increased YoY in September, while four others retreated YoY for the same month.

Prices of one personal care, social protection services and commodities went up YoY, while two fell YoY in September.

Likewise, prices of two household furniture, appliances, and maintenance items rose YoY in September, while the other two also declined.

Prices of the three health services witnessed a YoY rise in September 2025.

For transport services, one rose and the other declined in September.

However, prices of restaurants, hotel rooms and furnished apartments rose YoY, while one item declined YoY.

Under the tobacco category, the price of Marlboro ticked lower YoY.
