The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced today, July 28, that intercity bus services in Saudi Arabia recorded over 44,000 trips during the second quarter of 2025, reflecting the growing demand for this sector in the country.
According to the statistics released by TGA, more than 958,000 passengers used intercity buses during this period.
The report highlighted that Makkah region led in passenger numbers, with 226,890 passengers, followed by Riyadh with 222,960 passengers, then the Eastern Province with 144,970 passengers, and Madinah with 69,590 passengers.
Furthermore, the Aseer region recorded 60,450 passengers, followed by Tabuk with 50,350 passengers, Jazan with 32,460 passengers, and finally, Qassim with 24,820 passengers.
