RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman prayed to God Almighty to grant peace, prosperity and stability to the people of Palestine, the Muslim Ummah, as well as to the entire world on the occasion of Ramadan. “We ask God Almighty to bless us in this virtuous month, to accept our good deeds, and to perpetuate security and prosperity in our country,” the King said in his address to Saudi citizens, expatriates, and Muslims across Saudi Arabia and around the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH. On behalf of the King, the speech was delivered by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary. “We wish to congratulate you on the advent of the blessed Ramadan, a month in which the gates of Paradise are opened and which contains a night better than a thousand months. We ask God Almighty to assist us in fasting, praying, and performing acts of worship,” the King said. “We praise God Almighty for bestowing upon our blessed country the honor of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, including Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. We will continue, with God’s help, on this steadfast path established by the leaders of this nation,” he said. Addressing Muslims, the King said: “The month of Ramadan is a magnificent occasion for purifying souls, performing righteous deeds, strengthening compassion and solidarity, and thanking God Almighty for His visible and unseen blessings.”
