Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, announced a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s AI company HUMAIN to build a massive advanced computing and AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh, Huang said the collaboration will rely on NVIDIA’s advanced chips, with the project involving the gradual deployment of an accelerated computing system with a total capacity of 500 megawatts (MW) in the Kingdom.
He added that this infrastructure will serve as AI factories, where energy is transformed into AI tokens that are then used to generate AI-powered applications and solutions.
The CEO highlighted Saudi Arabia’s competitive advantage in energy abundance, making it an ideal environment for this type of industry.
NVIDIA is developing “physical AI” — the next generation of AI that can understand the laws of physics — a shift that could revolutionize robotics, Huang said. On May 12, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the launch of HUMAIN, a new PIF-owned company that aims to become a global leader in artificial intelligence, according to Argaam data.
HUMAIN, chaired by the Crown Prince, will provide the latest AI models and applications, including the development of one of the best large language models (LLMs) in Arabic, along with a new generation of data centers and cloud computing infrastructure.
