Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce released its latest evaluation of auto dealers to enhance transparency.
The ratings give consumers insights into dealer performance and service quality, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
The ministry said on March 4 that the assessment fosters competition among dealers and improves service quality. The evaluation is updated regularly to ensure accuracy and relevance.
The framework is based on four key criteria: inventory and reservations data, after-sales services, compliance levels, and consumer rights protection.
A total of 16 performance indicators measure dealer commitments, including availability of high-demand models, waiting lists, maintenance turnaround times, and spare parts availability.
The ministry emphasized that these criteria were designed to develop the automotive sector and address consumer challenges.
The methodology was created in partnership with consumers, the private sector—represented by the National Committee of Auto Dealers—and the dealers themselves.
