Arabian Co. for Agricultural Industrial Investments (Entaj) issued today, Jan. 30, the prospectus to float nine million shares on the Main Market (TASI).

The prospectus included a study on the market shares of brands for both fresh poultry meat and eggs by volume, according to Euromonitor International estimates based on primary and secondary research.

According to the study, the table egg market in Saudi Arabia is fragmented compared to the poultry meat segment, with more than 100 companies contributing to it.

Small companies, store brands and unorganized brands account for more than half of the total market by volume, although their share is mostly less than 1%.

Al-Watania Poultry Co. and Rahima Poultry Farm together account for a 37% share by volume, with Al-Watania producing around 1.5 million eggs per day, and Rahima having a daily production capacity of up to one million eggs.

Al-Watania Poultry owns a chain of fast-food restaurants, which can use part of its production. For its part, Rahima Poultry Farm supplies eggs to many retail chains and hotels, in addition to exporting them to the markets of the GCC countries.
