MARAFIQ confirms 9.56% water tariff rise only for industry

The Power and Water Utility Co. for Jubail and Yanbu (MARAFIQ)stated that the difference between the current and previous water tariffs represents a 9.56% increase, applicable only to the industrial segment.

In a statement on Tadawul, the company clarified that the current water tariff adjustment does not include any increase in tariffs for its other sectors, namely the residential, governmental, and commercial segments.

Marafiq affirmed its commitment to disclosure of any material events as required by applicable regulations and guidelines.

According to Argaam data, Marafiq had earlier received approval to revise the water service tariffs for the industrial segment in industrial cities supervised by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu(RCJY), with the new tariffs set to take effect on Dec. 7.
