Makkah Municipality launched a strategic poultry project in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate with an annual capacity of more than 51 million birds, expandable to 70 million.

The project includes a high-capacity slaughterhouse that will generate about 500 jobs, the municipality said on its X account.

The regional branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture is preparing over 69 investment sites spanning 100 million square meters, covering agricultural cities, nurseries, livestock, and water projects.

Projects slated for 2025 include agricultural cities on 27 million square meters, livestock breeding and fattening facilities on 1.6 million square meters, greenhouses in Taif covering more than 30 million square meters, and environmental and tourism parks exceeding 10 million square meters.
