MAKKAH — The Makkah Chamber of Commerce has allocated 2,500 fully equipped hotel rooms to host Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens stranded at airports across the Kingdom.The move follows the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approving the hosting of all stranded citizens of GCC states and ensuring their comfort until conditions allow for their safe return home.The directive includes facilitating all necessary procedures to host and honor GCC nationals and provide them with full support and hospitality until their safe return to their respective countries.The Makkah Chamber promptly initiated the required logistical arrangements in response to the directive.Chairman of the Hotels and Tourism Committee at the Chamber, Abdulmohsen Al-Ajlan, confirmed the allocation of 2,500 hotel rooms, along with comprehensive supporting services to ensure the comfort and proper hospitality of the guests.He said hosting GCC nationals reflects the Kingdom’s human-centered approach and its commitment to solidarity with its Gulf neighbors, stressing that Makkah remains a welcoming home for all who arrive on its land.
