RIYADH — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance held an official ceremony to launch the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ programs for the distribution of dates and provision of Iftar meals in Ethiopia.The Ministry was represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Ethiopia at the ceremony on Monday and was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Ethiopia Abdullah Al-Zahrani.The event included a visual presentation outlining the ministry’s efforts in implementing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Ramadan initiatives across a number of countries worldwide.**media[2668821]**Under the programs, 20 tons of dates have been allocated for distribution in Ethiopia, benefiting around 80,000 individuals.The accompanying Iftar initiative is expected to serve approximately 30,000 beneficiaries during the holy month.During the ceremony, Al-Zahrani said the date distribution and Iftar programs reflect the directives of the Kingdom’s leadership and is supervised and carried out by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.**media[2668823]**He noted that the initiatives are gifts from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Muslims on the occasion of Ramadan and are being implemented for the 10th consecutive year.He added that the projects aim to support Muslims during the holy month, help meet their needs, and strengthen bonds of brotherhood, promoting unity and solidarity among Muslims.
