RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has appointed Fahad Al-Saif as new minister of investment, replacing Khalid Al-Falih, who was named as minister of state and member of the Cabinet.This was part of a series of royal orders issued by the King on Thursday appointing and relieving of several high ranking officials in the emirates, governorates as well as in the ministerial, judicial and advisory positions.Attorney General Sheikh Saud Al-Muajab was relieved of his duties and was named as advisor in the Royal Court in the rank of a minister. Dr. Khalid Al-Yousuf is the new Attorney General. Sheikh Ali Al-Ohaideb was appointed president of the Board of Grievances, replacing Dr. Khalid Al-Yousuf.The King appointed Prince Fawaz bin Sultan governor of Taif, replacing Prince Saud bin Nahar, who was named deputy emir of the Madinah Region with the rank of minister. Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah has been appointed deputy emir of the Northern Borders Region with the rank of a minister.Prince Fahd bin Saad, governor of Diriyah, is relieved of his position and Prince Rakan bin Salman has been appointed new governor of Diriyah with the rank of a minister while Prince Fahd bin Saad was appointed deputy emir of Al-Baha Region with the rank of minister. Deputy Minister of Tourism Princess Haifa bint Mohammed was relieved of her position and she was appointed advisor at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.(Developing)
