RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have sent cables to Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressing condolences over the death of a number of people due to heavy rains and flash floods caused by Al-Musarrat depression that struck his country. In his cable, the King said: “We have learned about Al-Musarrat depression weather conditions that struck the Sultanate of Oman, resulting in deaths, injuries, and missing persons. We extend to Your Majesty, the families of the deceased, and the people of Oman our deepest condolences and sincere sympathies.” “We pray to Almighty God to grant the deceased His abundant mercy and forgiveness, to bestow their families with patience and solace, as well as to grant the injured a speedy recovery, to return the missing to their families safe and sound, and to protect you and the people of Oman from all harm and misfortune,” the King added. In his cable, the Crown Prince said: “I received news of Al-Musarrat depression, affecting the Sultanate of Oman, and the resulting deaths, injuries, and missing persons. “I offer to Your Majesty and to all the families of the deceased my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, asking God Almighty for showering mercy on the deceased, as well as a speedy recovery for all the injured,” he said.
