King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) recorded 50 million passengers in 2025, the highest figure achieved by a Saudi airport to date, placing it among the world’s mega airports in terms of passenger traffic.

Jeddah Airports Co.’s (JEDCO) CEO Mazen Johar said the milestone reflects the airport’s operational readiness and represents a preparatory phase for transitioning to subsequent stages of growth, in anticipation of doubling this number in the coming years, Saudi Press Agency reported.

Johar added that KAIA continues to strengthen its position as a key aviation hub in the region through expansions, increased capacity, and service development, in support of future growth targets.
