RIYADH — The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) held a coordination meeting on Sunday with representatives of member states to discuss initiatives for the second quarter of 2026. This meeting focused on the IMCTC’s strategy, which is based on four pillars: intellectual, media, counter-terrorism financing, and military. Addressing the meeting, IMCTC Secretary General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi underscored the importance of ongoing coordination and consultation to effectively combat terrorism and strengthen regional and international capabilities. Participants reviewed the progress of existing initiatives and their performance indicators, addressing key operational challenges and opportunities to improve collaboration among member states and enhance implementation efficiency. The meeting also explored ways to develop specialized initiatives and expand training programs to enhance member states’ capabilities in preventing extremism, countering terrorism financing, improving military readiness, and supporting media efforts against extremist rhetoric.
