Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 105 new industrial licenses in February, while 113 new factories began production, according to the National Industrial and Mining Information Center (NIIC). 
The ministry said in a statement today, April 22, that investments linked to these new licenses surpassed SAR 1.02 billion, with the related projects expected to create over 1,504 job opportunities across the Kingdom.
Investments in factories that started production in February totaled SAR 900 million, generating 4,114 new jobs.
This underpinned the ongoing expansion of the Saudi industrial base and the rising pace of factories entering into force, the statement added.
