The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced today the launch of a bidding process for exploration licenses covering eight mining sites in Riyadh, Hail, and Aseer, targeting gold, silver, copper, zinc, and iron ores.

The total area of the sites offered spans 1,878 square kilometers. The locations include Jabal Isas, Ashab Al-Dhiab, Al-Khashiba, Dalaan Smar Al-Har (Jabal Uqab), Jabal Muhbit, Wadi Khiyam, Al-Khushi, and Jabal Munabbih.

The ministry said via X that the process will start with a pre-qualification phase running until April 30, followed by a site selection stage and a multi-round public auction, before the final announcement of the winning bidders.
