JAKARTA — The death toll from last week’s landslide in Indonesia has risen to 70, with search and rescue teams continuing operations for a ninth day on Sunday to locate 10 people still missing in West Java, state-run Antara News reported.Authorities recovered 10 more bodies from the landslide site on Saturday, bringing the confirmed fatalities to 70, said Ade Dian Permana, head of the Bandung Search and Rescue Agency.He said search efforts resumed Sunday using tracker dogs and heavy equipment, with about 3,713 personnel deployed across the affected area.So far, 49 bodies have been identified and returned to their families, while 78 people have been rescued alive, according to officials.The landslide struck a village in West Bandung regency last Saturday, burying dozens of homes under mud and debris.Rescue operations are ongoing amid challenging conditions, with difficult terrain hampering access to parts of the disaster zone.
