RIYADH — Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Secretary General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi received Commander of the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz Al-Balawi and his accompanying delegation in Riyadh on Wednesday. The official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation and joint coordination. During the meeting, they reviewed the Coalition’s mission, strategic objectives, and comprehensive methodology for countering terrorism. This approach is based on integration across four domains: ideological, media, counter-terrorist financing, and military. The discussion also highlighted the coalition’s role in coordinating efforts among member states, building national capacities, exchanging expertise and information, and enhancing institutional collaboration. The Unified Military Command delegation was briefed on the coalition’s operational mechanisms at its headquarters, including training and capacity-building programs, the information assessment and situational awareness system, and specialized initiatives implemented to support member states and enhance the efficiency of entities engaged in counter-terrorism.
