RIYADH — The Ministry of Health announced it has taken action against a violation at a dermatology clinic after a healthcare practitioner filmed patients during laser sessions and published the footage on social media, in breach of the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions.The ministry said the violation was detected as part of its regulatory role to protect public health and safeguard patient privacy.It confirmed that legal procedures were completed against the practitioner in Al-Qunfudhah, resulting in revocation of the professional license and the imposition of a financial penalty.The ministry stressed that photographing patients, documenting their medical or cosmetic procedures, or publishing such material by any means constitutes a violation of the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions and its executive regulations.It added that the prohibition applies to all healthcare practitioners across specialties and institutions.The ministry reaffirmed that it will continue to intensify oversight of health facilities and will not tolerate practices that infringe on patients’ rights or violate regulations, calling on practitioners and health establishments to comply with approved professional and regulatory standards in the Kingdom.
