RIYADH — The Grand Mufti, Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, and Head of the General Presidency of Scientific Research and Ifta Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan called upon businessmen, the wealthy people, and philanthropists to take the initiative in supporting the Ehsan Endowment Fund through generous contributions to its projects. This is in view of its significant impact on supporting deserving sections of the society through the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work and strengthening cooperation among members of society.Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman will patronize the honoring ceremony of benefactors of the Ehsan Fund on Friday, March 6. The event recognizes philanthropists for supporting charitable projects across various regions of the Kingdom. The Grand Mufti emphasized the importance of supporting endowment projects and strengthening their charitable mission. He commended the blessed efforts undertaken by the Ehsan Endowment Fund within the Ehsan platform in consolidating the values of solidarity and compassion among Muslims. Sheikh Al-Fawzan stated that endowments in Islamic law are among the noblest acts of worship and the greatest avenues of good deeds, due to their lasting benefit and continuous reward. He clarified that endowments are a noble form of ongoing charity whose benefits extend in this world, and whose reward is stored up in the Hereafter. The Grand Mufti commended the leadership’s keenness on charitable and endowment work in the Kingdom and its efforts to maximize its impact, noting that this is an extension of this blessed country’s approach to serving Islam and promoting the values of generosity and giving. The Grand Mufti asked God Almighty to reward the supporters with the best of rewards, to bless their wealth, their work, and their lives, as well as to perpetuate the security, prosperity, and stability of the country.The patronage of the honoring ceremony by the Crown Prince reflects the leadership’s continued support for charitable work across the Kingdom. It also underscores commitment to empowering the sector, enhancing efficiency, and maximizing impact. This aligns with the leadership’s vision, which regards the sector as a humanitarian value rooted in giving and generosity, and as an expression of solidarity and social cohesion. In its fourth edition, Friday’s ceremony aims to honor benefactors and thank them for their contributions through the Ehsan platform. It also highlights the humanitarian and developmental impact of their giving and showcases qualitative initiatives, foremost among them the Ehsan Endowment Fund. The fund represents an institutional model that promotes sustainability, efficiency, and effectiveness in charitable work. Since its launch in 2021, the Ehsan platform has supported charitable initiatives across the Kingdom. Individual and institutional benefactors have contributed more than SR14 billion through over 330 million donation transactions. The figures reflect public confidence in the platform and its role in strengthening governance, transparency, and reliability in charitable work.
