The General Authority for Competition (GAC) received 100 economic concentration applications during the third quarter of 2024, an increase of 12% year-on-year.
According to a report issued by the Authority today, economic concentration applications for foreign establishments accounted for the largest share of the total applications, or 65% of total application. Meanwhile, economic concentration operations for local establishments represented 35% of total applications.

GAC issued its no-objection for 60 concentration applications. It also issued 28 certificates of non-notification, and is currently considering 12 applications that are still under study, as shown in the following table:
