Foreign strategic investors were net sellers of SAR 2.63 billion worth of stocks on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) in the week ended Oct. 9, according to recent data issued by Tadawul.
Foreign strategicinvestorsare defined as foreign investors with long-term strategic stakes in Saudi-listed companies.
During the week, Saudi Aramco announced completing the acquisition of a 22.5% stake in Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) from Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical, for SAR 2.63 billion.
Meanwhile, foreign investors via direct investment were net buyers of shares worth about SAR 1.14 billion.
Saudi corporates were net buyers of shares worth about SAR 2.4 billion.
