Tadawul trading screen
Foreign institutions were net sellers of SAR 277.8 million worth of stocks on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) in the week ended March 12.
They accounted for 37.35% of total buy transactions in TASI, compared to 38.35% of total sell trades.
Meanwhile, foreign individual investors were net sellers of shares worth about SAR 21.7 million.
According to Tadawul’s weekly report on ownership value and trading value, direct sales by foreign individual investors totaled around SAR 597.5 million, accounting for 2.15% of total turnover, compared to purchase trades worth SAR 534.7 million.
The Capital Market Authority opened Saudi Arabia’s stock market to all categories of foreign investors effective Feb. 1, 2026, enabling them to invest directly.
Saudi retail investors were net sellers of shares worth SAR 1.8billion, whileSaudi corporates were net buyers of SAR 1.9 billion.
