At the inauguration
Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman inaugurated the expansion of Siemens Energy Co.’s plant in Dammam 2nd Industrial City. 
The expansion increased the total area of the plant by 35% to 20,000 square meters.
According to a post by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) on X, the expansion aims to localize various industries within the energy sector.
These industries include gas-insulated switchgear and HL-Class gas turbines.
