DUBAI — Dubai Airports confirmed that all flight operations at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) have been suspended until further notice amid escalating regional tensions.Passengers were advised not to travel to the airport and to contact their respective airlines directly for the latest updates regarding their flights.“We appreciate the cooperation of our guests. Further updates will be provided as we continue to monitor the situation,” the statement said.Global airlines suspended flights across the Middle East on Saturday after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, triggering a renewed military confrontation in the region.Flight tracking maps showed the airspace over Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Israel and Bahrain largely empty, as Israel confirmed strikes on Iran and the US military initiated a series of operations against targets inside the country. Iran responded with a salvo of missiles.Airlines cancelled nearly 40% of flights to Israel and 6.7% of flights across the broader region on Saturday, according to preliminary data from aviation analytics firm Cirium.
