RIYADH — The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) announced the completion of its preparations and operational plans to serve the Guests of the Two Holy Mosques during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.The plan aims to ensure the delivery of advanced digital services that enhance the experience of Umrah performers and visitors and facilitate the performance of their rituals. **media[2664994]** The efforts are carried out under the supervision of Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the CST Board of Directors Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, and CST Governor Haitham bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohali.Preparations included expanding the deployment of 5G technology in and around the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, including their surrounding courtyards, to provide high-speed internet supporting digital applications and smart services. **media[2664992]** Wireless network coverage has also been extended across public facilities to enable seamless access to services and digital platforms, in coordination with relevant entities.CST said dedicated engineering and technical field teams have been deployed around the clock to monitor network performance, ensure service quality and address technical challenges promptly, aiming to provide reliable and integrated digital connectivity throughout pilgrims’ journeys.As the regulator of the Kingdom’s communications and technology sector, CST said it continues to mobilize all resources, in collaboration with service providers, to strengthen digital infrastructure and ensure service continuity and reliability during Ramadan.
